Amanda Foreman
Amanda Foreman is a third-year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Public Health candidate at the University of Florida. She is spearheading the new Animal Health division of Herbal Pharmacist®, working alongside her father, David Foreman, RPh, to expand the company’s mission into companion animal care. Growing up with a front row seat to her father’s work in natural health through television, radio, and writing, Amanda developed an early appreciation for natural approaches and now carries that perspective into her veterinary training.
Amanda earned her degree in Animal Sciences with a minor in International Studies in Agricultural and Life Sciences from the University of Florida. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research in immunology, swine health, influenza, and prophylactic therapies. As a USDA Veterinary Scholar, she focused on swine health and the development of monoclonal antibody therapies. Alongside her academic work, she taught English as a Second Language at UF’s English Language Institute and completed Peace Corps Prep training in education. These experiences strengthened her dedication to making science and health information accessible to diverse audiences and educating people on how evidence-based natural approaches can support health independently or in combination with conventional medicine, empowering individuals to make informed decisions for themselves and their animals.
Her clinical interests include preventive medicine and natural approaches, with additional focus on dermatology and internal medicine. She has been active in One Health leadership and outreach, emphasizing the connections between veterinary medicine, public health, and community well-being. With years of hands-on experience in veterinary practice, beginning as a clinic volunteer at age 11 and later as a veterinary assistant with small animals and exotics, she combines practical insight with a passion for evidence-based natural solutions.
Through her role with Herbal Pharmacist®, Amanda is helping lead the company’s first expansion into animal health. She hopes to bring together her background in veterinary medicine, public health, and natural health to develop accessible, science-backed solutions that support pets and the families who love them.

Justin Kalafat
With degrees in Forensic Sciences and Chemistry from West Virginia University, Justin Kalafat has built a strong scientific foundation that has shaped his entire professional career in pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements. Since graduating, every role he has held has centered on these industries, giving him broad, hands-on experience across product development, quality, and consumer needs. This diverse background allows him to evaluate challenges from multiple angles—blending technical expertise with practical insight into what customers value.
Justin approaches both science and business with a grounded philosophy: “Common sense isn’t scientific.” By combining analytical rigor with practical reasoning, he focuses on creating solutions that are effective, sensible, and aligned with real-world application.
Naturally curious, he enjoys researching emerging ingredients, identifying future industry trends, and continuously expanding his knowledge. When people learn about his career, conversations about general health and supplements naturally follow—and he genuinely welcomes them. These discussions are more than casual exchanges; they provide invaluable insight into consumer questions, concerns, and misconceptions. Justin sees every conversation as an opportunity to better understand the end user, refine his perspective, and bridge the gap between science and everyday health decisions.
Justin connects easily with others through storytelling and incorporates real life experiences into his presentations and conference speaking engagements.
Outside of work, his passions include fitness, sports, traveling, and exploring local cuisines wherever he goes. In the gym, Justin dedicates time to mentoring high school and college students—many of whom are simply told to “get the weight up.” Instead, he emphasizes proper technique, injury prevention, and building strength the right way, helping young athletes develop not just muscle, but discipline and long-term confidence.
