Slimaluma® is derived from the Caralluma Fimbriata plant, a cactus-like plant with a long history of use in India.  Local tribespeople often ate it to stave off hunger during long foraging trips in the forest.  Slimaluma® utilizes a patented extraction process to produce a finished ingredient with the proper ratio of compounds, yielding a safe and effective ingredient to help those maintain a healthy weight with diet and exercise.  This blog will explore why Slimaluma® works well for those with weight management needs and how it can benefit a comprehensive weight loss plan.

The proof is in the science.

Multiple clinical trials have been completed with Slimaluma®. Let’s take a closer look to see what makes it tick.

Study 1[i]

An eight-week double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial was conducted using® on 50 overweight adult subjects. The study showed statistically significant results for:

  • Waist circumference (intra-abdominal fat)
  • Appetite suppression, which led to
    • Healthier food choices
    • Reduced caloric consumption per day

Study 2[ii]

A 12-week randomized, placebo-controlled study was conducted on 33 obese and overweight patients aged 29-59 years of age. The study measured the effect of Slimaluma® on waist circumference and waist-to-hip ratio.  The study showed significant results for:

  • Waist circumference (reduction in abdominal fat)
  • Waist-to-hip ratio decline
  • Significant decline in palatability (visual appeal, smell, and taste) of test meal and reduced sodium intake.

Additional Benefits:

Body Weight, BMI, Hip Circumference, Systolic BP, Heart Rate, Triglycerides, total fat, and saturated fat intake were decreased.

Study 3[iii]

A double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial to examine the effect of a Caralluma Fimbriata (CFE) on biomarkers of satiety and body composition in overweight adults. Eighty-three men and women between 20 and 50 completed 16 weeks of daily supplementation with either CFE or placebo.

Results:

At week 16, the CFE group had:

  • Significantly reduced their calorie intake from baseline compared to the placebo group.
  • Significant reduction in waist circumference of 2.7 cm compared to an increase of 0.3 cm in the placebo group.
  • Compared to a placebo, CFE was effective at maintaining body weight during a non-calorie-controlled diet.

Note: The placebo group saw a weight increase from baseline, which was not observed in the CFE group. Additionally, the placebo group had a significant increase in fat mass, android fat mass, BMI, and leptin compared to the CFE group.

Incorporating Slimaluma® into Your Weight Management Plan

While Slimaluma® can be a powerful tool in your weight management arsenal, it’s essential to use it as part of a comprehensive approach:

  1. Balanced Diet: Pair Slimaluma® with a diet rich in whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats. This combination will ensure you get your body’s nutrients while managing calorie intake.
  2. Regular Exercise: Incorporate regular physical activity into your routine. Exercise not only burns calories but also improves metabolism and overall well-being.
