With the demand for more studies to be completed on women only, a new study shows the benefits of native type II collagen on joint health.  This exciting research compares the effects of exercise therapy and type II collagen on women with knee osteoarthritis. This randomized controlled trial involved 39 women divided into three groups: control, Collavant n2, and exercise.

Key Findings:

✅ Both exercise and Collavant n2 significantly improved functionality (6-min walk test and timed up and go test).

✅ Exercise therapy was superior in enhancing overall quality of life, particularly in reducing pain and stiffness.

Overall, the study concluded that exercise therapy and Type II collagen (Collavant n2) effectively improve functionality in women with knee osteoarthritis. Still, exercise therapy is superior in enhancing the quality of life.

Let’s prioritize movement and holistic approaches in managing chronic conditions!
